The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system and immune systems. It plays a vital role in the body’s natural detoxification processes filtering bacteria, viruses, and other foreign materials so that they can be cleansed by our white blood cells. It works by carrying our body’s waste away from tissues and into the bloodstream. However, unlike blood, the lymph system does not have a pump. Therefore, it relies on body movement to flow.
