What’s in My Travel Bag

What’s in My Travel Bag

Well as many of you now I’m getting ready to travel again, so what is in my travel bag?  I’m off to Washington, DC to attend the Wedding Wire World conference, where I hope to learn tons of new things to keep you all excited about my biz (oh and I might even be able to meet Bethany Frankle of Skinny Girl).

I’m also going to have the opportunity to spend a day or two with my best friend, his wonderful wife and completely amazing one-year-old daughter!!!  In the crazy of what clothes to pack for a business conference, a best friend’s birthday, and a play date with a baby, there is always a question of what products do I really need and how to get them jammed in a quart size ziplock bag…

The basics (Liquids):

As you can see in the photo, I have a particular way of packing my liquids for air travel.  Once you've had a $110 cream explode all over a dress that you are to wear a wedding you learn your lesson pretty quickly.  If you can, unscrew the top and place a square of cellophane wrap over the opening and screw the top back on.  Viola! Pressure changes thwarted!

Cleanser - I pack the powder stuff so it can go in my regular bag.  My favorites are the Exfoliating Powder from GM Collin and the Janssen Melafadin Cleansing Powders.  I also pack at least one of my Bamboo Microfiber Cleansing Mitts because they are so much softer than the towels at the hotels.

Mist- I always have this in my bag for any plane ride.  A spritz before my moisturizer in the morning, and again before takeoff, and landing.  The Hydromucine Mist from GM Collin is one of my deserted island musts (right up there with SPF and bug spray).

Moisturizer- This trip I’m choosing to take the new Diamond Radiance Cream from GM Collin because it acts as a moisturizer and a serum, so I only have to carry one container.

Eye Cream- I just can’t live without it but in a pinch if you're saving space you can use eye cream as your face cream (just not the other way around).

SPF- BB Cream all the way, it works brilliantly as a makeup base for the days I have to look ‘professional’ or as a little 'pull yourself together girl' on the days that I'm bummin.

Well That's about it for my travel bag of skincare.  Keep an eye out for future posts about what makeup I haul with me. ~xo
