I know what you did last summer

No Shame, just solutions

Say what you will, but I know what you did last summer… Heck, I did it too, we ALL did. But now, our skin is playing tattle-tale on us.

I will never shame you for having a great time; after all, I am an outdoors kind of gal. But the long days of summer can cause some real damage to your skin. Chlorine, sun, heat, bug spray, and whatever is in that lake water can do a number on our skin. I know we all did our best with the sunscreen. I know we all looked like crazy people at the pool with our giant glasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and a high-neck rash guard, but even with all that, we got FREE RADICAL DAMAGE. (Bet you thought I was going to say a tan, and I know you got that too).

Summertime fun causes an uptick in free radical damage that attacks our skin, causing us to ‘rust,’ and the summer heat increases the likelihood that we will develop brown spots. Skin starts to look dull because the sun evaporates all the moisture, leaving it grey and dull.

So, how do we repair the damage that we did to our skin?  Luckily, skin is self-repairing, but it can be a slow process, and not everything repairs (damn you, dark spots). I have a few tricks to speed up the process and help get you looking great before that faded tan look starts to creep into your apple-picking photos. Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. Dark Spot Serum - Corrects damage gently, so your skin doesn’t throw a tantrum. Layers beautifully with your current routine.
  2. Hyaluronic Filler Serum - Hydrate and hide those lines from squinting in the sun that are bugging you in the mirror.
  3. The One Moisturizer - Smoothes, hydrates, and is ready to forgive your summer sins so you go into cooler weather glowing.
  4. Melatonik - (Night Treatment) - Vitamin C, melatonin, and bakuchiol— night shift damage control to even, smooth, and restore.

Try the whole routine, add just one, or have a chat with me to figure out exactly what is perfect for you.

Skincare isn’t a checklist. It’s a strategy.

Somewhere along the way, skincare became a list of rules to follow.Do this, never do that, always double cleanse, never mix actives, use retinol or else... But here’s the truth: most of those “rule...
