Choosing Skincare for Congested Skin

Choosing Skincare for Congested Skin

Bacteria and inflammation cause acne symptoms in the pore deep within the skin. The root cause of acne is not on the surface of the skin and generally not due to a lack of cleanliness, but topical treatments that reduce surface inflammation and bacteria help to reduce the occurrence of new breakouts.

Using skincare products that are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and hydrating, work as a support team by assisting the body's natural clean-out processes in functioning optimally.

Our favorite products contain ingredients mandelic acid, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide, to assist in the cell turnover and clearing of debris. Still, they can be quite irritating if used on their own. Combat dryness while healing acne lesions by using gels or lotions containing soothing and calming ingredients like allantoin and bisabolol, in combination with topical hydration powerhouses like aloe juice and glycerine.
