Why is exfoliation so important?
Skin is continually turning over, making new cells in the dermis (the lower living tissue that contains blood, nerves, sweat glands, etc.) and sending them up to replace dead skin cells on the epidermis (our outermost layer that waterproofs the body and protects from dehydration, trauma, and infection).⠀ |
